At the Stedelijk Museum there is always something to do for families and children. Be an artist yourself and create great things in our workshops or Lab, take part in some awesome tours through the museum or join some of our other family activities. And on top of all this, the Stedelijk is free for everyone age 18 and under.

The artist Jean Tinguely thought that an artwork isn’t finished until it moves. So do your part! Step inside Tinguely’s Headquarters and bring his ideas to life. Build an useless machine and get the museum moving. There’s no such thing as standing still!

Sunday 21 May is your last chance to visit Tinguely´s Headquarters. The Lab will be closed from 22 – 31 May for refurbishment. The Lab reopens on 1 June, and everyone’s welcome to drop in!

The Lab is sponsored by the Rabobank.

Curious visitors aged 6 to 12 can visit the new studios on Sunday afternoon and take a special workshop with an artist or designer! So get creative and let the experts show you how it’s done.
Check the calendar for the latest workshops and to make a reservation.
